Does this server follow traditional Conan lore?

We do not! We are a custom lore, high fantasy server. Any Conan race is just considered Human here, and we offer a collection of over 30 other fantasy races.

I am getting sick of this intro movie, anything I can do about it?

Sure, just head over to steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Content\Movies and delete the 3 movies with the word "Intro" in them.

Now when you load into Conan there will be a black loading screen with 3 dots in the bottom corner. If you validate your game files for any reason afterwards you will need to delete the movie files again.

Why am I not getting modded drops from resource nodes?

To get modded resources from resource nodes you must use a regular pick. Using a pickaxe does not give you modded drops from resource nodes.

What is 'Carbon' and where can I find it?

Carbon is a modded resource from the Age of Calamitous (AoC) mod. It can be harvested by mining regular Coal nodes around the map with a pickaxe.

I am waiting for a race application to be approved, what should I do in the meantime?

While waiting for a Race Application to be approved by an admin you may submit a Consent Sheet with your chosen race with the words (Awaiting Approval) in parenthesis next to it.

Then you may join the server to customize your character as close to your chosen race as possible while waiting for your admin spawned cosmetics. You will be in the OOC character creation room until your consent sheet and race applications are approved.

Why do I need admin approval to play certain races?

This is usually because the race requires admin spawned cosmetic items to be played. Sometimes it is because the specific race is important to the worlds lore or history. All race applications will be reviewed in less than 24 hours, if your application is denied you will be asked to make revisions and resubmit.

How do I earn Pippi Currency to by things from shops?

Sell the Merchants

Merchants in Aloria will buy certain resources and materials for pippi coin. This is a good way to get started. To see what a merchant will buy from you talk to the merchant and select the sell tab.

World Bosses

Quests

World Bosses that have been created by an admin will also drop Pippi Currency up their death. We usually have 5-7 active world bosses per season. The easiest world bosses of Season 2 are the 'Wild Boar' near the Market, and the Crystal Gator near the lighthouse.

Admin created quests will usually have the option to earn currency, or special items. You will usually have to pick one or the other, but these can also be used for currency. Some quests are repeatable and specifically designed for earning currency.

Mini Games

There is a small selection of easy to play mini games in the main hub of Aloria (For season 5 that is harmony bay). Games include "Orange Tossing" "Chest, Map, Sword" and "Mug A Pirate"

Dailies

We currently have a small selection of quests that are repeatable daily, that award an amount of coin for completing simple tasks.

I am getting authentication errors when attempting to join the server, what do I do?

This seems to happen when a player takes too long to connect to the server, usually from a slow internet connection, or from having the game installed on a hard drive, vs a solid state drive. If you have the option to install on a solid state drive it is highly recommended.

FIX 1:

Step 1: After getting the authentication error, close the game and relaunch steam.

Step 2: Go to where your Conan Exiles files are stored. Example file path - steam/steamapps/conan exiles/conansandbox

Step 3: Open servermodlist.txt and copy the contents.

Step 4: Go into your mods folder and open modlist.txt, erase the contents and replace the contest from servermodlist.txt

Step 5: Save, exit, and reopen Conan Exiles.
Step 6: Start a single player game, once you are in game wait 5 minutes before exiting back to the MAIN MENU. Important, DO NOT close the game.
Step 6: Attempt to join the server afterwards and you should load right in.

FIX 2:

Step 1: Restart Steam
Step 2: Select Conan Exiles from your games library

Step 3: Select the "uninstall battleye" option.

Step 4: Wait for batteleye to uninstall, then click to play the game again, this time selection the "Install Battleye" option.
Step 5: Now launch the game normally (with battleye)

Step 6: Open Task Manager, go to details and find the ConanSandbox task, there will be 2, one with with _BE and one without, right click them both and set priority to high.

Does the server ever wipe progress/restart.

Yes! We feel its necessary to maintain peak server performance by occasionally wiping the server of structures and characters and starting fresh. Fresh wipes are also the best time to gain new players to Roleplay with. <3

Server wipes will generally happen once interest in the current season fades, and the player drops below 10 players online concurrently for most of the day. This we track on battlemetrics.

At the start of a new season we offer starting kits to help players get back to roleplay as soon as possible. Wipes are also times where we progress the lore and timeline of Aloria.

After patch from 6/17/20 - Issues loading with windows 7.

- It may help to remove the memory reading error. You need to remove the BattleEye service and install what it offers at startup close game run

Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Binaries\Win64\BattlEye\Uninstall_BattlEye.bat

run ConanExiles\ConanSandbox\Binaries\Win64\ConanSandbox_BE.exe  - Press ok close game.

- Clear dir Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved\Logs

- Create folder called “SilentEvents.log-upload-0” in that same folder

Help! Steam isn't automatically downloading mods, what do I do?

-- Restart your computer and make sure you're computer is up to date
-- After restart open steam fresh, see if that helps.
-- If it doesn't, uninstall all mods, delete them from your mods folder and unsubscribe on steam. (!Workshop folder contains corrupted files – It’s also possible that this issue occurs because some of the mod files that you downloaded have become corrupted. If this is a widespread issue, Steam will eventually refuse to download any new mods. In this case, you can resolve the issue by deleting the corrupted mods and do an integrity scan.)
-- Do not launch yet. Verify the integrity of your game files.
-- Download Cache contains broken files – There’s also a fairly common glitch that might occur in situations where there are a lot of pending items inside the Download queue. Whenever this happens, the downloader will refuse to download any new items. In this case, you can fix the problem by clearing the download cache. (From your Steam Client, open the Settings panel by selecting "Steam > Settings" from the top left client menu. In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab and you'll find the "Clear Download Cache" button at the bottom. Then select "OK" to confirm and acknowledge that you'll need to login to Steam again.)
-- If this doesnt work the next steps would to be reinstalling conan, and if that doesn't work,
-- You may need to reinstall steam (Corrupted Steam Installation – Another scenario that will trigger this particular issue is a widespread corruption issue. In this case, the only viable fix is to uninstall the current Steam installation and re-download the latest client version from the official download page.)
